SIA flight makes emergency landing due to plane problem

SINGAPORE – A Singapore Airlines (SIA) aircraft flying from London to Singapore made an emergency touchdown in Azerbaijan on Monday.

There have been no accidents to the 467 passengers and 27 crew members on board SQ317, an Airbus A380.

According to a publish on the Singapore Airlines Facebook web page, the flight was diverted as a consequence of depressurisation, and oxygen masks have been deployed.

The assertion stated the plane landed “uneventfully” at Baku Airport at B.03am, native time.

Singapore Airlines stated it’s looking for clearance from native authorities to switch affected clients to a lodge till a alternative plane arrives from Singapore.

In a press release posted on its Facebook website at 1100 GMT, the service stated a alternative plane had left Singapore and was because of arrive in Baku at round 1900 GMT on Monday.

It is predicted to land in Singapore on Tuesday afternoon.

“We sincerely apologise to affected clients for the inconvenience brought on by the diversion and the prolonged delay encountered on the airport in Baku,” the airline stated.

Airbus stated in a press release it was “following up on this problem and offering technical help to the airline”.
