Scientists find 800,000-year-old footprints in UK

LONDON — Scientists stated they’ve found human footprints in England which are no less than 800,000 years previous — probably the most historic discovered outdoors Africa, and the earliest proof of human life in Northern Europe.

A staff from the British Museum, the Natural History Museum and the University of London uncovered imprints from as much as 5 people in historic estuary mud at Happisburgh on the nation’s east coast.

British Museum scientist Nick Ashton stated the prints are “a tangible hyperlink to our earliest human relations”.

The scientists stated the people who left the footprints might have been associated to Homo antecessor, or “pioneer man”, whose fossilised stays have been present in Spain and who died out 800,000 years in the past.

The discover was introduced immediately, and revealed within the journal PLOS ONE.
