Snake eats crocodile in Australia

SYDNEY – A large snake has gained a life and demise battle towards a crocodile in Australia, swallowing the animal entire after a prolonged wrestle earlier than amazed onlookers.

Travis Corlis, who watched the struggle at Queensland’s Lake Moondarra, close to the mining city of Mount Isa, on Sunday, stated the snake, considered a python, was about 10 ft (three metres) lengthy and “wholesome wanting”.

The crocodile, which the snake coiled itself round, was about three ft in size, he stated.

“They had fairly the wrestle within the water,” he informed AFP. “It was an ongoing battle.

“We have been simply standing there in amazement watching it.”

Corlis stated a number of hours after he first noticed the encounter, he observed the snake had pulled the crocodile onto the banks of the lake and launched its prey, which by this stage was lifeless.

“About 10 minutes later the crocodile was gone,” he stated, referring to the creature being eaten.

His spouse Tiffany described the battle as “simply unbelievable”.

“We have been kind of considering that the snake had bitten off a bit greater than it might chew,” she informed the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

“But it did. It truly ate the crocodile.” She added: “When you truly appeared on the snake, you might truly see the crocodile’s ridges, legs and the whole lot inside its stomach.”
