Changi’s Departure Fee to raise yearly till 2024
From July 1, passengers will now have to pay $13.30 more than the current $34 when they fly out of Changi Airport.Passengers who are transiting will expect to pay $3 more for each flight. Airlines will also be paying more for aircraft parking and landing fees
It is expected that the total departure fee will be raised up to $62.30 by 1st April 2024. The extra funds will be used for major expansion plans in Changi.
It is unclear if this fee will be reduced when the Changi East development is completed and whenT5 is launch around 2030.
The total cost for the project is estimated to be tens of billions.
