Robber returns money to woman he robbed after seeing her bank balance
After robbing a woman of 2,500 yuan (S$500) at an ATM in China, the robber decided to return her the money out of sympathy, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
The robber walked away smiling after seeing the balance in her bank account.
The victim, known as Li, said the man behaved suspiciously and loitered outside the bank. She then handed him the money after being held at knifepoint.
The man wanted more from her but after looking at the balance, he gave her back the cash before leaving the scene.
Police have since detained the suspect for investigation.
