Uber’s last attempt at a price surge before its official merger with Grab?
Uber fares surged islandwide yesterday evening (Apr 3), as Grab’s server went down.
Price surge went up to as high as a 4.3x the regular fare.
Singapore was not the only country that was affected as Grab customers in several Southeast Asian countries faced similar disruption.
were affected by the ride-hailing platform’s disruption, which lasted at least three hours.
A private driver who uses both the Uber and Grab app , said that the Grab drivers’ app had been unresponsive since 8pm. That is why many drivers would do both Uber and Grab so that they would have an alternative if 1 of it is down.
Could this be Uber’s last attempt at a price surge before its official merger with Grab?
